What ZoomCap is

ZoomCap ("we", "us") provides a screen-recording tool: a macOS CLI recorder, a browser-based recorder, and a browser-based editor that adds zoom effects and exports video locally. By creating an account or using the product, you agree to these terms.

Plans and licenses

• Free tier: browser recording with a limited number of exports per month and a watermark on output. Commercial use of the output is allowed.
• Lifetime license ($29 one-time): a perpetual, non-transferable license for your personal or business use, including updates as advertised at purchase.
• Pro subscription ($12.49/month): the same features, billed monthly, cancellable at any time — access ends when the paid period ends.

Licenses are per person. Don't share one account across a team — that's what multiple licenses are for.

Your recordings are yours

Everything you record and export with ZoomCap belongs to you, watermark or not. Use it commercially — product demos, tutorials, launch videos, client work — with no restrictions and no attribution required. We claim no rights over your content, and since your footage never reaches our servers, we couldn't exercise any if we did.

Acceptable use

Don't use ZoomCap to record people without consent where consent is required, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to break, resell, or misrepresent the service. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to defraud the licensing system.

Refunds

If ZoomCap doesn't work for you and we can't fix it, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. We'd rather have your bug report than your money.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Prices are shown at checkout; taxes may apply depending on your location. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

The usual disclaimers

ZoomCap is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update the product and these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If you keep using ZoomCap after a change, that's acceptance. If a change isn't acceptable, cancel and — if you're within the refund window — ask for your money back.
